This producted worked wonders on my horrible dried out skin from the harsh winter elements. It was a lifesavor!
I am 39 years old with normal/combo skin. I began using Refissa\, which is a strong Tretinoin cream\, on my face about 6 weeks ago. My face has gotten slightly red and I'm peeling\, which is all normal. It's also left my skin more sensitive than it normally is and dull looking. The skincare line I had been using for the last 4 years now burns and irritates my skin since I am using the tretinoin. I bought the Hydrating B5 Gel and it is awesome! It takes away the dullness and my skin feels and looks more hydrated. I was impressed with the smooth texture that glides onto your face and leaves no residue... as if there is nothing there. I then use the Emollience moisturizer followed by the Daily Sun Defense SPF 20 and even with all of this on\, my skin feels great\, not heavy or greasy at all and no burning! Best of all...my skin looks great!
I have dry skin and had high hopes for this product. I have used Skinceuticals products for years now and decided to give it a whirl. It is not for me. As other reviewers mentioned\, it left the skin very tight and shiny. My skin felt so much drier after use. I followed up with a moisturizer and I still noticed a difference in how dry my face was- it felt like my moisturizer wasn't working as well after using the B5 gel. I gave it to my husband to use and he also told me that it was just too uncomfortable and his skin felt too dry after using it. Just a heads up to people thinking about this product- see if you can find a sample. Some people seem to have good luck with it\, I just wouldn't risk it. I gave it two stars because a little goes a long\, long\, long way. So that is the only positive about the product.
Amazing serum!!! It leaves my face soft and supple. I recently burned my face\, and it healed the burn in 3 days. Great product!!
I have sensitive skin\, combination. T Zone oils yet slightly dry in some areas and normal in others. The B5 gel is a great addition over the Vitamin C AOX 10%. I also use a light moisturizer which really is an important step for those with dry skin. Hyaluronic Acid B5 isn't really a drying agent - but dry skin needs other moisturizers. I like to use Vitamin C in the morning with moisturizer and SPF50. For night\, I alternate either use the Vitamin C\, B5\, Moisturizer OR I use retinol and moisturizer. This regimen seems to work quite well for my personal skin type. Along with peels\, my skin is healthy and discolorations are under control. I would rate higher but the cost is a bit pricey - I use every other night now.

Wonderful
I have really dry skin. Using this in combination with the 'Renew Overnight Dry' emollience seals in the moisture I need. In addition\, my skin really glows. Friends and strangers alike compliment my skin and ask me what I use! I am a believer in Skinceuticals!!
